Antimicrobial fabrics are meant to inhibit the growth of bacteria, mold, fungus, and other organisms. These microbe-fighting capabilities stem from a chemical treatment, or antimicrobial finish, that is topically applied to textiles during the finishing stage, allowing them to prevent microbial development.
